Seamus Murphy is a Melbourne based writer and director.

His most recent short film ‘Henry Needs a New Home’ (2019) had it’s premiere at Melbourne International Film Festival. He was also invited to participate in MIFF’s Accelerator Lab for emerging Australian and New Zealand directors.

His first short film, ‘Reunion’ (2017), received the Award for ‘Best Victorian Short’ at Monster Fest, which included a prize of $9000 in gear hire and post-production funds for his next work.

Murphy has also worked extensively as a freelance editor and camera operator for television and music videos.
